Please help with Thalys Train
I am a bit intimidated by the website since it partly in Dutch where you order. I am looking for a one way Amsterdam Centraal Station to Paris Nord. Smooze fare is what I think I want. I am traveling on May 23rd 2009. I am in the USA with only US credit cards. What is the best way for me to reserve and buy a ticket? I prefer morning, but not early early. Is it possible Smooze fares are already sold out or not available on all departures? Help will be greatly appreciated
Thanks

Hi hpeabody-
The easiest website to do so, is www.tgv-europe.com
Make sure you choose Great Britain as the country of residence, which will keep the rest of transactions in English. For your date, I see SMOOVE fares available for 25-36 euros depending on time of departure.
Using www.tgv-europe.com and buying SMOOVE fare ticket, you have the option of print your ticket at home, hence you don't need to worry about where to pick up your ticket.

YK, THANK YOU SO VERY MUCH. I went to the TVG-Europe website and was able to reserve my SMOOVE fare of 35 Euros, get a seat and print the ticket. I think that is a great deal
It seemed like many screens to go through, but I managed to get through it.

I'm glad it worked out. It looks like there weren't too many trains with SMOOVE fare left, so I'm glad you were able to get one. I think that's a fantastic deal, considering how much those tickets are at regular price. The print-at-home option is really handy for US visitors.
