Please help! Has anyone stayed in these Venice Hotels before???
Have been searching for accommodation in Venice for my Easter trip and have sought out these two (within my budget)...Hotel Fontana and Hotel Gallini. Did any of you stayed there before? What's your comment?

Hi Sharon,

My Mum and I stayed in the Hotel Gallini last Easter and would use it again, I think. The rooms are pretty small, and rather bare (no tv, etc.) but very clean. It was absolutely fine for us, as we were out walking around all day every day, and was a really handy base for both the San Marco and Rialto areas. It's on a quiet street with a lovely little canal along the side of it. The reception staff were extremely friendly and helpful - really helped make the stay by recommending rather more 'off the beaten path' restaurants, etc. We were there on a fairly tight budget, and the hotel was completely fine for our needs.

Please feel free to email me direct if you need more info.

Jenny

Hi Sharon,
My husband and I just returned from a trip to Italy. Stayed at the Hotel Fontana. My only regret is that we didnt stay longer!! The rooms are small, but the location was perfect and the hotel was helpful in finding us our next hotel in Florence. Have a wonderful trip! Karen
