People have listed useful web sites, and for the National Theatre and blockbuster musicals your mother needs to choose online now, pick up a credit card, and phone the box office to book. But much of the best work is on the fringe, often not listed on any web site, so I hope she will leave evenings free, at her arrival airport buy a copy of Whats On listings magazine, read it in the boring train towards your hotel, and book by phone from a phone box.

Welcome to London

Ben Haines
Be sure to use the half-priced ticket booths around Leicester Square. No need to pay full price! We saw Blood Brothers (OK, a bit depressing) and The Unabridged Shakespeare (cheesy but I have to admit I laughed my head off) while we were in London two weeks ago.
