It's been too long since I stayed overnight in Bath for me to recommend a place to stay, but here's a website
www.bath.co.uk

theater:
www.whatsonstage.com
www.thisislondon.co.uk/
www.timeout.com/london/
www.albemarle-london.com/
http://www.londontheatre.co.uk/
http://www.officiallondontheatre.co.uk/ includes a click to the Globe theatre website.
www.whatson.com/

Ticket brokers:
In the US and in London, Both Edwards and Edwards, and Keith Prowse, are ticket agencies that for a mark-up can often get you tickets for popular shows. For E & E. call toll free in the US 800 223 6108. For Keith Prowse, call 800 669 8687. They have good automated systems which can send faxes of their brochures, and both have offices in New York City. If nothing else, their brochures have helpful information, but not always for beyond the current month.
Edwards and Edwards: in London, phone 0171 734 4555
Keith Prowse: in London, phone 0171 836 9001
First Call: in London, phone 0171 497 9977
www.goodshow.com/
Good Show charges a flat fee ($25, 6/99) for two plays, up to six tickets per show. For each additional show there is a $10 fee, again for up to six tickets. The site also provides theatre reviews, schedules (including the Royal Shakespeare Company in Stratford) and fringe productions.

We loved the Carfax Hotel (http://www.carfaxhotel.co.uk) on Great Pulteney Street, just a block or so down from the Pulteney Bridge. Centrally located yet affordable and quite lovely, with excellent service. Private parking in the back if you have a car with you, which is a huge plus.

Ensuite doubles range from 70-100 pounds per night.

If you're prepared to walk about 10 mintues to get into center (or put up with hassle of finding parking in town) there's a lovely B&B (with parking) I've stayed at 3 times in last couple of years. It's both friendly and nice with huge and beautiful rooms.

Leighton House
139 Wells Road, Bath
Fax: 00 44 1 225 443079
