place to stay -- irealand meath county

For the last two nights in Ireland, we would like to stay within an hour's drive from Dublin Airport but in a convenoent location to see Newgrange and Trim Castle -- Any recommendations?

Thanks

Have not stayed at this place but saw it in a Alastair Sawday guide book--Netterville Manor. Sorry I do not have website but it looked great. It was an old abbey and is is the area you want to stay in--maybe you can Google it.

Jusst got back from Meath County. Stayed at Trim Hotel in Trim, next to Trim Castle. A fantastic hotel, brand new, just opened. Recommend it highly.
Ciao,

I stayed at "The Reefs" just outside of Skerries. It has a nice view over The Irish Sea. Violet Clinton is a wonderful host. She is not real internet savy so phoning is the best way to contact her. I believe her number is: 01-8491574.

Living where I do, I have no reason to try out the accommodation options near either Newgrange or Trim.

I can say that the Trim Castle Hotel looks good, and the location is superb.

To phone The Reefs from outside Ireland (assuming wojazz33 remembers the number correctly) use +353-1-8491574.

We toured the area about a year ago and stayed at the Slane Farm near the Slane Castle. Very nice cottages and reasonably priced. We would go back. The Netterville Manor was closed for renovation so I'm not sure if they are back up again. Enjoy your visit. We did.
