place to stay in Pisa
This is my last hotel to book in Europe and its in Pisa. We leave at 7 am the next morning for our flight back to London, so I thought it would be best.Does anyone know of a hotel in Pisa, prefer a Quad room for dad and 3 daughters Thanks

We stayed at the Hotel Royal Victoria last February and were very happy with it. It is right on the Arno - ten minute walk to the Field of Miracles and a very quick taxi ride to the airport. (I can't remember exactly but it was less than 10 euros - more like 6 or 7.) We also were leaving at 7:20am the next morning. The hotel receptionist called for taxis and made coffee and a light snack for us since we were missing the complimentary breakfast.
I wish we could have stayed longer. It is one of the oldest hotels in Pisa and has lots of character. Victorian style, but not over-done. Lots of famous people have stayed there in the past. We had a triple room for 117.50 Euros.
Have fun!

If you do decide to stay there, as you go out the front door and turn left, there is a little bar on the corner (about 10-20 feet away). We had our final Prosecco toast to Italy there the night before we left. Lots of college kids (which I definitely am not) but it was lively and fun.
As I mentioned in my trip report, I would not make a special trip to Pisa unless I had lots of time in Italy. But it is very picturesque and since we had to fly from the Pisa airport, I'm glad we were able to spend an afternoon there. Of course, for us it was off-season. I imagine it gets tourist-crazy during high season.
