Place to stay for family in Cinque Terre

Can anyone recommend a place to stay for my family of four in the CT, preferably Vernazza? My kids are older boys, so they would greatly prefer to not have to sleep in the same bed Thanks for your help. Laura

Have you considered the hostel in Manarola? Family rooms with private bath-very reasonable and good reviews. See www.hostel5terre.com.

You might want to try http://www.torrettas.com/movie.html. While it's not in Vernazza (Manarola instead), it is one of the better establishments in the CT. The village with the most "life" especially in the evening would be Monterosso which the boys might enjoy. There I suggest trying: http://www.laspiaggiahotel.com/.

There are also two wonderful seaside villages nearby Portovenere (my favorite place in Italy!) and Lerici (my hometown) that are just fabulous bases for exploring the area. You can easily get to the CT by boat...

I apologize for taking so long to reply - I have been working some long days recently and haven't been checking my posts. How far is Lerici from La Spezia and the Cinque Terre? I have seen pix that are just beautiful. I do wonder about the boat being available when we are there at the beginning of April - I don't think the weather will be very predictable. Thanks so much for your help. Laura
