PISA and contruction

We wanted to see the tower during our vacation in a month, but read that there was construction around the tower earlier this year.

Is that still the case or? This may change our plans to trip to Pisa.
Thanks
There were still works going on in June, but it didn't spoil our pleasure. In fact it adds an extra charm to the tower. And the construction doesn't hide the tower. It's incredible to see what engineering stands for today.
Besides Pisa is much more than the tower. Please, visit the Camposanto (near the tower).

The tower has been under construction for years. They were still working on it in September. However, there was less construction stuff around then when we visited a couple of years ago.

...and be sure you eat at "Bruno's" while you are in Pisa. A short walk from the tower and one the best in Italy.

just got back from pisa/florence trip yesterday. i found the construction to be very interesting since we had just seen a story about it on public tv. we ate at a couple of the out door pizzarias that surounded the tower and loved each one. an afternoon bottle of wine and the view..a perfect week.
