Pictures from Paris - Help!
I returned from 10 amazing days in Paris on our honeymoon in July. Now I'm finally putting our pictures in an album and there are some pictures I can't identify what they are! One is of a pedestrian bridge that is actually two bridges that cross each other. very modern. the other is a modern building that sticks out over the Seine. I think it is a government building. I'd be happy to email the pics to anyone who thinks they can identify them for me.

Thanks Jody, yes that is the picture of the bridge I'm talking about. We saw it on our dinner cruise down the Seine our first night. As for the building, I will try and post the picture somewhere for you. It isn't the library. I have pictures of it with its four tours that are supposed to be like four open books. This was on the Right bank but not far from the library as I recall. I think it was a government office building of some kind. One end of it is sort of suspended over the water. When I get home tonight I'll find the picture and let you know where I post it. I'm usually pretty good at keeping track of pictures as I take them but again, we were on a cruise, on our honeymoon with several bottles of wine... it's amazing the pictures even turned out! :-0 thanks everyone!

The passerelle de Solférino also is built in that style. Since it links the Tuileries to the Orsay Museum, it is more likely to have been photographed.
The building that sticks out with one foot in the Seine is the Ministry of Finance.

Thanks everyone. Yes the building is the Ministry of Finance. As for the bridge it was further down (up?) the river than the Orsay and newer so I think its la passerelle Simone de Beauvoir. Also the picture right after it is the Library so it all makes sense now! Thanks everyone for your help. The album is almost all labelled.

There are two arches near each other, actually a little south of the Montmartre area.
They are the Arc de Triomphe de la Porte St Denis and Arc de Triomphe de la Porte St Martin. Saw them 2 trips ago...

Thanks everyone. You are correct, it was not in a square but traffic did go around it including the bus I was on. My pictures are all labelled now thanks to all of you. Now I'm moving on to planning a trip south. Too cold up here for me already!
