Hi PROGOL,
Fabulous pics! Just had time to "do" Toledo and Ronda. Will return to others.
Great shots of that festival in Ronda. What was happening in the bull ring? Not sure. Pics so colorful. Thanks

Indeed, great photos! I was hoping you would post some. I went back to parts of your TR to put the photos in context. You got some great shots at the Ronda Romantica for example, and seeing them together with your write up was a bonus.
Thanks again for sharing. Inspiration for our trip!

Paule (progol)...thanks for your stick-to-it-ive-ness. What a striking array of pics. You captured each location to the utmost. Happy to see my old fave Groucho is alive and well and living in Sevilla!!!
Were you there during Holy Week? We were at one time and there was a bit of familiarity with the floats. Indelible experience. We stayed at Las Casas de la Juderia...excellent lodgings in Barrio Santa Cruz.
Keep on travelin' and keep on "shooting"!

Many thanks, everyone, for your wonderful comments! So glad you enjoyed the shots - it does add so much to see what the places actually look like.
latedaytraveler - there was a demonstration/competition by members of an equestrian school; no bullfights (which was fine with me). The ring is stunning, though, and seeing the horses was so very dramatic in that setting.
The Ronda Romantica was so much fun -- I had been worried about crowds and traffic, and it was not a problem at all.
Bedar - I'm afraid I have rows of young trees, but no ancient olive tree in the courtyard of the Mezquita. I'm afraid I was so blown away by the interior that I didn't focus on the exterior.
kanadajin -- Merci beaucoup!
Nelson, love that you put the pix and photos together! Someday, someday, someday, I'd really like to do that blog, but not while I'm still working full time, I'm afraid.
Tdudette - I'll let my husband know that his moustache is much admired. It was also very admired in Rajasthan, but I'm mixing my boards now!
dodi66, I'm glad you're finding the report & photos helpful!
stu - many thanks again, for the kind words about my pix. No, we weren't there during Holy Week - I opted to stay away from the overwhelming crowds during that week, so was pleased to experience some of the smaller processions and, of course, the Ronda Romantica.
EYWandBTV-- thank you! I'm glad that you enjoyed this "pretrip" before your upcoming one!

Thanks for sharing these.

Glad you're all enjoying the photos! It's a great way for me to revisit my trip, too.
colins - we were there in May. It was cool in Toledo, but we experienced a heat wave in Andalucia, with the temps getting to 39-40 in Granada! By the time we were in Madrid, it had cooled down. During those hot days, the siesta was truly a welcome break!

Hola, progol . I have enjoyed your trip report as we are going to Spain for a month in Oct. I was wondering if you have any other information on how to contact , Cesar, in Madrid. I clicked on the link you provided, but it did not work. I then went to airbnb and looked for his apt. in area near Prado and the Las Letres. Would appreciate your help.
I use airbnb a lot, but am following some of your hotel suggestions going to Santa Isabel in Toledo. Thanks in advance and pura vida from Costa Rica.
