I buy a phonecard for $10.00 from Total Call International. It allows me to talk for approx. 2 hours [probably more] without any connection charges.

I have used 10 10 636 and been very satisfied with the rates. There was a recent thread on dial around long distance--you might search and find the other suggested numbers and customer service numbers.

I just use AT&T, and get 7 cents a minute to the UK.
