Shelley bit of info for you, there is a Faberge museum that opened late 2013.... During the day it's only open to tour groups BUT, at 5:45pm anyone can queue and they will sell tickets to the general public... One of the gems of info Alex told us... I was delighted as I had always wanted to see Faberge eggs in Russia. You can also get a river tour opposite so you can combine the two!

Smeagol-Thanks for the info regarding the Faberge museum and the river tour. Neither are covered on my tour, so I will do them on my own after the tour ends.
Kathie-We are not doing a river cruise. We are on a land tour- 3 days in Moscow, a high speed train to St. Petersburg and 5 days in St. Petersburg (2 on my own). DH has wanted to visit St. Petersburg for several years, so we are finally going in Sept.
