Perillo Tours

Hi!
My family and I are planning to tour London, Paris
and Rome. We do not want to take the train from Paris to Rome, and the only tour company that we have found that flies from paris into Rome is Perillo Tours. Has anyone been on a trip with them?
I would appreciate any information on this. We are
also considering a British Airways package, but we
are a little leery of going into a foreign country and our not speaking their language. But we also do not want to have a time imposed upon us for meals. But we do like the fact that all of our tours are pre planned. Help!

Thanks

i am not sure of your reluctance of being on your own in a foreighn country. first, we do not speak any language but english, unfortunately, but we have alsways gotten along quite well in all the countries we have gone to. i can not imagine why you would not take the train to Paris from Rome! it is a
wonderful way to relax and see the country. what is the worst that could happen? you might miss a connection ? also, your reason for not taking a tour is so you won't have restrictions on meals??
i do not mean to be rude, but why are you going to Europe in the first place ? Try being a little independent on your trip and you might meet some great people and really feel like you have seen europe.

I hope that I am more helpful that the other person who responded. Please listen to an old hand who first started going around Europe 50 years ago...and is still at it. You need have no anxiety about using English in a non-English-speaking country in Europe. Although I speak several languages, my experience has been that those in the travel industry (the younger the better) will understand your needs quickly and be quite helpful. Even police officers in many cities wear little flags that tell you which languages they command. In your case look for the officer who wears either a tiny British flag or American flag on his/her tunic pocket. To go from point to point, say from Paris to Rome, ask any travel agent to book your seat (be sure to pay the extra needed to reserve your seat) and you are in business. Credit cars accepted, of course. For example, I wanted to travel from Oslo to Stockholm to Copenhagen last summer. In the Oslo terminal I took a number and was quickly assigned to a desk where a charming young lady took care of my every need, including getting my wife and me special discounts because we are over 55 and were traveling on off-peak hours. It's no big deal -- just go right ahead and have fun. Have you thumbed through the guidebooks from Fodor's or Arthur Frommer or the amazing Lonely Planet guides? They will help you overcome your reluctance -- and give you good advice while saving you pots of money. Enjoy!

To those that responded to my message for information, thanks. Perhaps I didn't make myself
clear, I am merely seeking info on Perillo Tours. I
personally am not afraid of going into Europe on our
own, but I do want to check all of my options out before finalizing anything. I appreciate all of the input so much. Thanks again. Kathy

I am a travel agent and I can tell you that Perillo Tours has an excellent reputation. The people I know who have gone with Perillo, particularly in Italy, have had a wonderful time.
