Pensioni in Rome
Hello My name is Giovanna. I live in Ontario Canada. This summer my husband and I& our 3 year old daughter will going to italy. There is a pensioni in rome that is attached to a church. we stayed there about 7 years ago my husband and i when we were on our honeymoon. but I can't remember the name if the church or the pensioni. right across the street is a hair Salon. I remember we were able to walk to the Vatican, I hoping someone can help us out. It was really nice pensioni they offered breakfast, lunch and supper if you wanted. it was extra in price. Anyways I hope someone can help me out.

Are you sure it was a pensione? There is a convent called Fraterna Domus that is attached to the church of Santa Lucia. Breakfast is included in the room rate, and lunch and dinner are available. It's within walking distance of the Vatican.
I don't remember the hair salon, though...

All right, let's try this. Where you enter, there is a largish space with some tables. The kitchen is downstairs, and the dining area is divided into several small spaces. There is no elevator in the building. The showers are not enclosed; they run into a drain in the floor.

Here's a link to the Google street view of Fraterna Domus, although that's probably not where giorob means. However, the same facility could be used with other possible locations.

Giovanna, if you could provide some other location details about where you stayed, of course that would help. Were you in the area that is close to the Vatican and on the same side of the river? How did you get to other Rome attractions?

Well I found the brochure that I thought I have lost. it was in a box that my husband put in.anyways the place is called " Casa Mons. Bacciarini, right beside the Bascilica Di San Giuseppe. on Via Bernardino Telesio 4A. So I think that is where we are going to stay for couple nights then a hotel for rest of time in rome. it is like a 10 to 15 min walk to the Basilica de San Pietro e' Castel Sant' Angelo.
Has anyone else stay here.Thank you to all who responded to help me out.( We stayed here like 7 years ago.)
