Pensione Accademia-Does anyone have email address?

Hello,

I want to contact this hotel by email if possible and I found two different addresses. Is the Pensione Accademia, that people refer to, the same hotel as Accademia Villa Margeve?
Any further info on this hotel is welcomed before deciding between La Calcina and Pensione Accademia.

Thanks,
Denise

Denise - the email address is: [email protected]. Website: www.pensioneaccademia.it. This was near the top of my list, but was booked up for the days I wanted. Also, check out Rants and Raves. I have settled on Locanda Sturion or venice rentals.com instead.

Thanks, I will write again using that email address. The other one I had bounced back to me. I am also going to check out the Locando Sturion.

Denise

When we booked, we called & then confirmed by FAX as the e-mail process didn't work so well (this was about 16 months ago). The hotel is near the Accademia and the staff is very pleasant. I would rate it okay to nice; not one of my top 10 favorite hotels, though. For some reason, we wound up in their lone garden room (called "thelma"). It was beautiful, but it was also spring. We were dealing with ants throughout the stay; I don't think, given the layout of the hotel, you'd have that to contend with in the hotel itself.

Dear Anne,

What hotel would you have preferred in Venice? We will be there in July, so it will be hot and crowded.
P.S. I still haven't heard from them.

Denise

The bst luxury/to middle hotel is the Monnaco and the Grand. (one hotel) I have stayed at the Danielli but for the price the Monaco is the best location and value. About $200/night;

Here I was thinking, yes, Pension Accademia is where we'll be staying, but OOOPS, no. We'll be at the Hotel Galleria right by the Accademia Bridge. Good thing I checked. I have their details if you're interested. Booked via email no problem.

Denise - This was my first trip to Venice, so could not tell you what other hotel I might have preferred. This is one of those cities where you spend so little time in the hotel that I didn't spend any time thinking about another choice. In other cities, I have certainly changed hotels if I'm really unhappy with my initial choice; that was not the case here. However, I had read glowing reviews of the Pensione Accademia (it's the former Russian Embassy building); as I said earlier, IMHO, it was OK but I wouldn't have given it such a glowing review. Hope that helps. Enjoy your trip!
