Parma - city parking

We will be road tripping, and spending a half day in Parma - and have arranged a two-hour walking tour in the morning. The tour will meet near the Ponti di Mezzo, and I'm trying to figure out our best option for parking. I see there are parking lots in the city, but the closest one is in the ZTL, so don't want to park there. Also there appear to be free lots outside the city with a shuttle to the historic center - but I have no idea where the shuttle will stop so we can get to the start point of the walking tour. Any advice?

There are a few parking lots outside the ZTL but still close by.
