Parishuttle

Has anyone used their service lately? If so, is it still pretty good?

Have you tried doing a textsearch? There were some informative posts from May 2002.

I assume you are traveling alone. Otherwise why would two or more people pay more than the cost of a taxi which you could immediately get and take direct to your hotel, to ride on a bus that you have to call and wait for and then travel with it as they drop off other passengers on the way to your hotel?

Do not start up with that subject once again.

If I wanted to take a taxi I would not be posing this question.

My apologies. I sometimes forget that some people prefer a more crowded bus, shared with other people and their luggage, touring the city as you stop at their hotels, taking twice as long to get to your hotel and then paying more for these privileges.
Sorry, didn't mean to rock your boat.

Dearest [email protected],

Look if you want to take a taxi no one's standing in your way. In fact, that's great because there's no chance I'd be on the same shuttle as you.

Carol, I took PariShuttle from the 6th to CDG in April and they were there on time and I was at the airport on time. Worked very well.

Frankly, I'm not sure a taxi for two is cheaper than a shuttle. Maybe for three.

I assume you know the email:
[email protected]

and the website:
www.parishuttle.com

Thanks Sue. Finally a legitimate reply besides Oliver's. It's going to be three of us travelling. Yes, thanks anyway, but I have Mark Harris' email address already.

There will be three of us travelling too (2 adults, 1 child) from CDG to Paris center. The cost of a taxi will probably be about $50-$55 (arriving Sunday so there might be an added charge). The quote I got for us in a shuttle was $35. A $15-20 difference is big enough for our family who doesn't mind sharing a van with others and who is not in a hurry to arrive at the hotel.

Joy, you got a quote of $35 for the three of you? I got a quote of $15/pp ($2/pp discount for Fodor's). Anyhow, $45 is still going to be less than a taxi. I was certain all along of that.

There is also a chance that you might make a new friend on the bus.

Michael

Carol we used Parishuttle last week after going via Mark and the service was excellent.
The driver told us that Mark has now insisted they all wear uniforms which although he didnt seem too keen on the idea he did look very professional.
Also I saw 3 of their buses at the airport including mine and they were all very clean & new looking.
We paid 45 euros for 3 adults with luggage. To give you an idea of the taxi cost we went from the Eiffel Tower area to Gare du Nord which on the map didn't look a great distance & due I imagine to the traffic , hopefully it wasn't a sly driver, we paid 29 euros.

Our taxi ride for the two of us from the seventh to CDG cost $35 including tip, in April. We were travelling around 10 a.m. on a Monday, so traffic wasn't too horrible.

Hi, we used in May and had a very good service. Would call them again. Made reservations directly to Mark.

Thanks to all who have given their observations on Parishuttle. It makes me feel better as we'll be using them this October. I'm glad to hear that the service is improving.

Uniforms great, but do the drivers still careen down the highway at breakneck speed and blame their passengers when they're injured in auto accidents?

Maniacs ? I certainly wouldn't agree with that.
Our shuttle guy knew where he was going & what he was doing.

The taxi drivers that we used however were another story.Im glad I dont have to drive over there .
