12 days out from the operation and I'm feeling much better though still tired, rashes gone...

Aussie, I'll be in Southern Spain not before April 27 or 28 - Seville, Granada and the Alhambra major on my list, planning on 5 days after the cruise,so it looks like we may miss each other this time.

Noticed the Euro has gone from $1.22 which looked good to a $1.44 which certainly doesnt look as good

My hopes for everyone including myself are for a healthy happy and reasonably prosperous New Year allowing us still to travel !

And no, I never got in touch with Gerard or he never got in touch with me, if Kerouac or I were successful with our emails, but no matter.

I believe people come into your life for a purpose, even if it is only for a short time or "two ships passing in the night,". If Gerard hadn't been there, I might not be here today - so all's well that ends well.

And yes, I am quite well and have taken a transatlantic cruise combined with a land trip to Europe for a month in April-May 2009 plus three short cruises around the Caribbean
in October, November, and December 2009 - which is really overdoing it but always enjoyable to be on the ocean and pampered by someone else cooking breakfast, lunch and dinner, making your bed and cleaning up after you
