Paris to Munich and then Munich to Venice by sleeper train- Need Help!
For all those who have traveled Europe by train...We are trying to book an overnight train between Paris and Munich (10/21) and then Munich and Venice (10/24). Seems like DB Bahn is the rail to take, but not sure what is a Spar night ticket and if that's the Europa-Spezial Frankreich ticket. Or do we have to purchase the Normal price ticket? Can anyone help us out? and if there is an X, is it sold out or not available yet? We are looking for a deluxe sleeper (It's our honeymoon after all !)

If other fares are still available, then the X is sold out. I don't see deluxe available for your date from Munich, only economy.

You're confused about trains. Each country operates their own trains and have their own train companies. Bahn is Germany's, Trenitalia is Italy's, Voyages-SNCF is France's, etc. Some countries have agreements to operate trains between them.

some night trains are however operated by private companies under contract to national railways involved - nevertheless the national railway web sites usually sell their tickets.
anyway besides www.seat61.com scour these other two fine sites for possible info on night trains - www.ricksteves.com and www.budgeteuropetravel.com.

Best wishes for your wedding and honeymoon!
For Paris-Munich on 21 October the German Rail site shows a Europa-Spezial Frankreich fare of €119.00/person for beds in an Economy Double cabin. Discount fare tickets are already gone for beds in a Deluxe Double cabin. I suggest that you book the Economy Double cabin NOW.
For Munich-Venice on 24 October the German Rail site shows a Europa-Spezial Italien fare of €109.00/person for beds in an Economy Double cabin. Discount fare tickets are already gone for beds in a Deluxe Double cabin. Again, book the Economy Double cabin NOW.
