Please note OP's plea:
3. Please *do not* top the superthread. It would be better to consider adding to it a topic that has not yet been previously discussed (as this will automatically bring the superthread to the top and enrich it).

Paris 2* Hotel List +/- 100€
Author: Travelnut
Date: 09/30/2006, 10:11 am
http://paris-eiffel-tower-news.com/d...aving-list.pdf
This pdf file was emailed to subscribers (free) of the http://paris-eiffel-tower-news.com website.
It lays to rest once and for all the question of decent/central rooms in Paris for the approximate price of 100€/double. Not all of them will pass 'muster' re: Tripadvisor comments, but many will. No, not many located in St Germain des Pres. (there are many other areas of Paris with decent neighborhoods and location, yes it's true
). I noticed quite a few hotels with reasonable prices for triples and quads as well. You have to open each hotel website to get that detail, but at least the list is all pulled together for you and organized 3 ways (alpha, price, location).
Kudos to the author for his efforts!

Night owls might want to take a night time tour of the Paris Metro on the old, restored trains. Tickets cost 57 euros, and tours are given in French.

I found this site has numerous performances throughout France, including Paris of course:
http://www.evene.fr
Once you find the performance you want, you can look at the venue's web site to see if you can buy the tickets cheaper. For example, I found tickets at http://www.foliesbergere.com that were cheaper than what I could order through http://www.evene.fr .

You can order a taxi online through www.taxisg7.fr. The site also has a fare calculator.
