I'm a big fan of Nivea products--skincare and the excellent Cashmere hair conditioner. I've had no luck finding it in the U.S., or even on the internet; so I bring lots of containers back from France.

Vichy is owned by L'Oreal. The Decleor line is chock full of irritating (though pleasant smelling) plant oils.
The only ingredients proven to be effective with "anti-aging" are retinoids. Not only are these products often severely irritating to many, one can only wonder why anyone would spend that much for the promised results, which are far from impressive if you look carefully (and ignore the "results may not be typical" disclaimers).
If you want to shop for skin care in Paris, a great place is the pharmacie on the corner of rues Bonaparte/du Four. There's a considerable selection, and, last I was here, testers for most products.
And, I subscribe to fragrance free products only, so also like Dermatherm products, which omit all sorts of other skin irritants as well. But, I purchase these only when necessary (such as forgetting to pack something), as they're pricey and nothing superior to Neutrogena, Olay, etc.
When I turned 40 and decided to get serious about skin care, I ultimately learned to just take good care of my skin rather tban spend a fortune on a lot of hype.
Using an effective sunscreen product all the time will do far more good than any alleged anti-aging products.
