If you book with Airport Shuttle, BE CAREFULL!!!! I had to put a credit card down with the reservation, although I was going to pay with cash. My travel companion's flight into CDG was delayed. When we called Airport Shuttle for pickup (~8:10 p.m.), we got their answering machine stating they closed at 8 p.m. The ever intrepid travlers, we set out to the 7th arrondisement via the Metro. When I got back to the states I checked my credit card statement online, only to find that not only had Airport Shuttle charged me for the pickup that never happened, but they CHARGED ME TWICE!!!! I've spend the last couple of weeks trying to resolve the issue, but I have a feeling I'll just end up having to dispute the charges.

Two of us traveled to Paris in April. We took a cab from the curb and paid $2 less, including tip, than it would have cost us for the airport shuttle & it's stops at other hotels. We stayed near the Bastille in the ll Arr.

The taxi ride was very safe & pleasant.

We used the Airport Shuttle in March and it was wonderful. You do NOT need to give a credit card ahead of time...! this is clearly stated on the web site.
Just say you want the option of paying cash when you get to the hotel. It is $l8 per person, and a pretty good deal. When we arrived we phoned a toll free number and they told us to take another shuttle over to a different "hall" at Charles de Gaulle. However we stepped right outside and found and blue Airport Shuttle and he took us easily to our hotel. JUst "stay on top of things". On the return trip to the airport we did take a taxi, and being four of us it was the best and most convenient and the man at the hotel desk arranged it (and a pass by Sacre Coure , for it had rained and we hadn't had time to get to Montmarte.)

We used the shuttle in both directions on our trip earlier this month. Worked out fine. Would suggest, however, you allow plenty of time on your return to CDG as there may be additional pickups at hotels around the area. I think we made two stops en route to the airport.

As noted above, the cost is $18 per person and you are allowed a cash option on the form on the web site.

We've used the shuttle several times and had no problems whatsoever. We've made the reservations via their toll free number (even talked to Mark himself twice) and gave no credit card info ahead of time. We paid in cash (francs) anyway. Whenever we used them they were on time (or even 5 minutes early) and we had no more than 2 other pickups or dropoffs). I'd recommend them as a practical alternative to a taxi. No matter what you use, shuttle or taxi, always allow extra time for traffic, etc. never cut your pick up time to close. Incidentally, I've never spoken to anyone who did not speak English on the phone and the drivers all speak some English as well (not a major problem for us tho since my husband is French).

I was looking at www.airportshuttle.fr just yesterday - the price is good but the site does require credit card details to secure a booking & I couldn't see anything to indicate the web site was secure so am uncertain about using it. Can any of the computer savvy people here determine whether the booking sheet site is secure? Cheers!
I tried to make a reservation for 4 individual families with Airport Shuttle and was told that I had to give a credit card to guarantee, since we're coming together it will be 2 vans that need to be booked and that's considered a group, I explained I wanted my own reservation and to pay in cash, I was told that this is not possible it would have to be guaranteed by a credit card. We do not want to pay in advance with a credit card after the stories I've heard.
