Paris Restaurant Sites

Do you know of a site with Paris Restaurants listed with hours, phone numbers, etc? We are going to be there the last week in July and I would like to look at menus as well as see which are open then. I see some are closed in July and August; some just in August.

At one time I had a site marked that had menus and also made reservations.

Thank you.

Well, there's www.reservethebest.com, which includes photos, restaurant menus, contact info and hours. The few I looked at didn't say whether they were open in July/August. It's not a complete list by any means and I'm not sure the restaurants they list are really the best, but it is a helpful resource. The Michelin red guide for Paris does indicate restaurant holiday closures (summer, Christmas, etc.).

Patricia Wells' Food Lovers Guide to Paris lists the days, months, etc., that restaurants are closed. It's a great resource for restaurants in Paris.

As to Reserve the Best, I would not use them again. Last year we ate at Le Train Bleu and Allard, and I had made the reservations myself; both times we were in the "main" room of the restaurant. This past trip (just returned on Wed.) I used Reserve the Best for same restaurants, and we were seated in different, smaller rooms, with mostly "non-locals" nearby. Perhaps it's just a coincidence, but I couldn't help but wonder if it had to do with the way the reservations were booked.

Thank you for the info. I looked at reservethebest and parisplanrestro. They seem to have quite a few restaurants but like you indicated, not all.

Yes, I have Patricia Wells book and enjoy reading about the restaurants.

Not the most comprehensive website, Ronda, but one I sometimes use:
