Paris or the Cote d'Azur in March

Am planning a trip to France in late March. It will be a quickie. We will only spend about four days there so don't want to do one of those "if it's Tuesday it must be Belgium" trips. I've been to Paris; my husband hasn't. But I'm thinking the weather on the Riviera will be better at that time of year. Wouldit be silly to go to France without including Paris since he's never been there?

Don't you have to fly into Paris anyway? You could stay overnight and just walk around the city so your husband can enjoy the sights and you can reminisce (sp?). Weather is definitely apt to be better on the Cote d'Azur in March. Good Luck!

Fran:
The weather on the Riviera is always better than in Paris(except when the mistrals blow through).
Neither place will(likely) be balmy in March. Typically, Paris highs would average the mid-fifties (F) and Nice highs would reach the high fifties to low sixties. Night lows would fall to the high forties in Nice and low forties in Paris.
You may find that smaller hotels in some areas of the Riviera are closed in March. St.Tropez hibernates. Nice, Cannes, Menton slow down. The Sea will be too cold to swim in.
You should not have to worry about crowds.

Hello from Paris!

I think that if your husband has never been to Paris, you should go there first. From Paris, we have a one day tour or 2 days tours by plane going to the Riviera if you wish. This tour includes plane ticket + hotel for one night + all your transfers from your hotel in paris and return, transfers also arriving in Nice,an english speaking guide for one day , a full day of visit Nice/ Cannes/ Monaco/ Eze/ Grasse...and a free day in nice, where you do whatever you wish. Return to Paris the following evening.
This can be nice, 2 days in Paris and 2 days in the Riviera?
Contact me for details...

http://www.frenchadventures.com/

If it is only 4 days spend it in Paris. There is more than enough to do for such a short time and it will be much more memorable.
