Yummy...looks wonderful. I was trying to be good tonight with just some broiled fish and vegies but your dessert just might make me dig into the Halloween candies that didn't get handed out last night...the only thing I have sweet in the house! Thanks again for everything!

Joan,

Your recommendation for La Riboto de Taven was exactly as you said~perfect in every way. We had a wonderful visit with Christine and David in June. They are so knowledgeable about the area. We also enjoyed the delicious dinners and having breakfast outside in their beautiful garden. They have deep affection for you!
Thank you for taking the time to share your experiences with us! Have a wonderful trip and will check in daily for our "fix."

plufmud,
How nice to hear from you re Riboto. I'm so glad you enjoyed, as I have so often. They are lovely people. It is a real gem.

I need to re-confirm some dining reservations that I have made before leaving home.. Going to begin this morning with Florent for petit dejeuner and go from there to my hotel preview.

a bientot..

Bonjour,

Up and out..great day. seems to be turning a bit grey now ansd looks breezy out.

I walked down to Florent's Flirt The to say hello and to have petit dejeuner. Roberta, I did say hello for you. Michael called while I was there and got to chat with him, too. I also took some pictures while there.

I stopped by to preview a hotel triple room for another and back to apartment for some calls to confirma dining reservations and catch up on email etc.

Here are the photos:

We had the same breakfast at Florent's place! That croissant is huge and why is a simple toasted baguette so delicious in Paris????

Joan, Glad you are there safely and back doing your Paris things. We leave in a bit more than a month so we will be vicariously enjoying Paris through your trip until then.

Glad you arrived safely in Paris.

I wonder why the clerk at the Tabac could not load one month? For the €13 savings, I think I would have tried a different Tabac or headed to the metro station.

His problem was that he had made the mistake of loading one week an didn't know how to correct it to 1 month. He did make a call and still couldn't handle it.

gracejoan3,
I am loving that picture from your window of the Iron Lady. Will be a few blocks away but still will be able to see it.
All the pics on here have been great and make me look forward to my trip.

Thank you for writing this fabulous travel log. It's so much fun to be able to enjoy Paris with you again.

Our lunch at Les Cocottes last summer was wonderful, I too had the crab salad.

Enjoy your stay.

Sue came by the apartment and we visited and then walked down to Au Petit Tonneau. We had a great dinner. Ginette is marvelous..said hi for you, Pat and Jim! Also told her I would be back before 12/4! We had aleisurely dinner and some nice wine. I am not that much into desserts, so we shared one with a cafe creme. We were only non French.

My entree was celery, Sue's was duck, my main a delicious fish and I don't know what happened to Sue's..yes, she did eat!!
