I was busy, busy yesterday and tied up with some other people. Went to a group thing at Violon last evening. Only took one pic of a friend's dessert! Was also involved today, but Michael, Florent and Micheliene are coming about 7:00 for a bottle of champagne left from party and we are then off to Le Florimond. They have never been there. It is nearby.

I am mostly packed. Driver picking me up at 6:30 and will be home about 6:00 tomorrow night NC time...Pick cats up on Sunday.

Probably will not post pics from tonight until I get home...

It has benn fun..hope you all enjoyed..

Returning to Paris April 1..may see some of you then??

a bientot....

My favorite...the champagne!! Sorry to see your trip end and have appreciated all the great info and will put it to use when we are there in 17 days!!!

Thanks for all the post, I have finally gotten reservations at L'OBE for December 20th, and looking forward to it. I am trying for the GTG on December 29th near Ile Saint Louis, will make some calls tomorrow and pray for someone to answer that speaks English. All these pics of food have been fun and enjoyed them as my bedtime stories. Safe travels to all.

<<I have pretty well come to the conclusion after having been to many of the 3 star restaurants that there is really only so much you can do as far as the food goes...only so much good service that you really want....the stars ONLY add the extra service. It can almost be too much..they bother you! It is nice to go once..see what it is like. >>

I totally agree. When you know there are children going to bed hungry the world over or see things improving so very slowly in places like Haiti and New Orleans, I'm more inspired to contribute than spend all that on one meal.

Sorry it is over; really enjoyed dining vicariously with you, Joan, and seeing the pics of all your friends at your apt. and in the restaurants. Putting faces on people brings the story alive!

The breakfast spot from your last post - Bar PTT on rue Cler? Just looks familiar to me.

Welcome home,

Debra

Welcome home. Joan.
Loved your trip but agree with Kerouac, I would do away with the foam, had that, left that,
