Paris/Normandy

My parents and children, two teenage boys, are traveling to Normandy for three nights at the end of August. Which hotel would you redommend in Normandy if they want to take in the WWII memorials and museums and Mt. St. Michelle?

I would recommend you stay in two places - one to see the D-Day beaches, and one for le MSM. We loved the Chateau de la Bellefontaine in Bayeux as a base for the D-Day beaches. As for le MSM, it depends on whether you want to spend the night there or not. I would do so, but I haven't actually done that for more than 30 years, so I'll defer to others who have.

Another vote for the Chateau D'Argouges in Bayeux.

Also very nice is Chateau Sully, outside Bayeaux.

There are not very many good places near Mont St. Michele, but you can find nice, clean small inns.

Dargouges all the way! Very nice, central, parking (if you drive-we took train from Paris) near Cathedral, etc.
Picked up bus tour to beaches while walking around town!

A VERY reasonable hotel in Bayeux is Hotel Bayeux. The rooms are large, nice breakfast room, very clean, around the corner from the Cathedral and a 5 minute walk to the Tapestry. They have a car park beside the hotel. Three days for both of these sites is going to be hurried.
