Paris Museums - closed days?
I am trying to plan our weeks' activities in Paris in April so we don't waste any time. I have several books and some old brochures from previous visits and am finding conflicting information on which days museums and other sights are closed. Can anyone tell me the closed days for the following: Eiffel Tower, Arc de Triomphe, Conciergerie, Egouts de Paris (sewer tour), Louvre, Notre Dame, L'Orangerie, d'Orsay, Sainte Chapelle, Versailles. Thanks so much for any help or any suggestions for "must see" places.

Hi Marylou,

For official information, I'd suggest looking up the official websites of these places. One of my favorite search engines is google.com. Just type in the name of the attraction. Obviously, several sites will appear, but usually the official sites have their names in the URL.

For example, for the Eiffel Tower, the official site is:

http://www.tour-eiffel.fr/

According to the website, it is open everyday of the year (though times may vary).

Good luck!

Jennifer

L'Orangerie is closed and has been for two years. It is not scheduled to open until Dec. 2002. You can find out info at the Paris Tourist Office web site, www.paris-touristoffice.com, although some of these are easy to find in a search, if they have their own web site, as noted above. I think google is the best search engine, also.

One of the best and updated sites is the one of the Paris Tourist Office.
http://www.paris-touristoffice.com/c...usee/formmusee
