Paris May 2007 Journal posted...finally.
Greetings!
I have been so busy at work that it's taken me a couple of months to type up my journal and get it posted to my web site. http://www.luvtotravel.homestead.com/Paris2007.html
Enjoy!
Monica
PS: You can click on the restaurant link at the top to see where I ate.

plafield,
Very easy! I made the reservation on line at their web site (www.rentparis.com) and used paypal to make my deposit (1/2 the rent) and paid cash the day we arrived.
We were given a phone number to call if we had problems but it turned out you had to pay for it, so we asked them for an alternate number to use and didn't have to pay anything. If you end up booking, let me know and I can send you that number, although I wrote it in their book they keep in the apartment with all the instructions.
If you don't mind 3 flights of stairs and a small studio, the location makes up for it a thousand times!

Monica,
Great journal. And great restaruant info also. It will come in handy when I return to Paris November.
When will you be in Rome? I will be there October 24th - November 1st. Interested in a GTG?

Monica, thank you. I stayed on the same street at the Hotel Caren De B...
I love your approach to travel.
Were you happy with the apartment? Was it clean.
Can I have the url for a future hopeful return.

Hi Tom,
I arrive in Rome on the 9th, go on my cruise on the 13th and return/fly home the 27th, so there's no chance for a GTG with you.
This is the web site (also posted at the bottom of my journal) http://www.rentparis.com/details.php?l=en&id=25 of the apartment I rented.
Yes, I was very happy with the apartment, even though it was tiny. It was very clean and it was cleaned once while we were there. If you don't mind a small place (20 square meters total and 3 flights of stairs, you'll be fine. The location and the price certainly makes up for that.

cls2paris, thanks!
http://www.worldisround.com/articles/329966/ This is the link to some of my photos. Go to the bottom for the apartment photos. The view from the room is of the interior "court yard" of the building, so being on the 4th floor, we could look across to the other apts.
