If you haven't already purchased your tickets, I have a KLM/NW coupon I'd be happy to e-mail you the information for. Let me know.

The sidewalk cafes also are full in FEBRUARY if there happens to be a sunny, warm day. People who generalize about Paris weather need a new hobby.

I was going to go to Paris this March and had my airfare on a 3 day hold. I had to change my plans and rescheduled for May (over Memorial Day weekend). To my surprise and delight, the airfare was actually less and there were frequent flyer seats available which were sold out for March. I got one ff seat and saved about $150 on the other 3 tickets by going in May. One week later the airfare soars but I lucked out. I never assume anything any more with the airlines. I would not hesitate to go in March - I actually liked the idea because the crowds will be less but I had a work conflict.

I've experienced snow in Paris in April! That said, if it's really a choice between going in March or not at all, then Paris in March would be perfect.

Been to Paris during the months of Sept., Oct., Nov., Jan., Feb., March., April., May. AAHHH Mid-March, I recall a French Holiday to honor women. Kept walking down the street and getting long stem red roses and chocolate from men. Go in March!!

Hi Goingtobejing,

I came on this forum to inquire about weather for Paris in March. BTW your post came up when I did a search on Yahoo for March, Weather Paris. I am going through the same conundrum. We might be going to Italy though for a slightly milder season.

I don't have a problem with the cold but I am traveling with someone who grew up in Hawaii/and Florida and is only experiencing their first winter in NY. I thought I would make this trip her call. My words to you are warm hat and gloves. I have only been in Paris in december as a college student (20 years ago) too poor to splurge on a warm hat. I can still feel my stinging ears LOL.
I am sure it is milder in March. But take a hat just in case, you want to remember those pastries not the stinging ears, LOL.

I think travel is more about enjoying where you are and how you are there. Take an umbrella, pack layers and good walking shoes. Have fun...just go prepared
