The coldest month in Paris! Not as cold as the NorthEast US, but still cold. You won't get snow or ice, but I would take winter wear.

I think January is the coldest month anywhere, at least in this hemisphere. There are several places to get such avg weather info, I have a compendium of cities and it says that in Paris, avg high is 43 in Jan, avg low is 34; a good amount of rain (17 days of month), all of winter is fairly wet there, at least compared to summer (which isn't so dry, either). It's fairly moderate weather, not my idea of real cold at all, but I was raised in upper Midwest where it's usually around zero in January.
