Paris in 9 Days

My sister and I have planned for a trip to Paris this July for a full 9 days, (not including flying time, etc.) and were wondering some fun day trips which can be done without a car. We're interested in possibly visiting quaint villages or cities, Loire Valley, etc.

Hi S,

You could easily visit Dijon/Beaune, Auxerre, Troyes, Reims, Chartres, Versailles, Giverny or Chateau Malmaison.

..summer Giverny for sure..Chantilly. There is a train directly to Chartres and Amboise (for the Loire) but if you want to have a quick glance at the most well know chateaux (The Cs), take a 1 day tour..easy. However, you are really only in Paris fro a very short time. I would limit myself to at most 2 day trips (though Versailles and Malmaison are 1/2 day).

The Loire Valley would be especially nice in summertime. Check out Amboise.

Travelbunny: Yes, I am only going to do at the most two, including Versailles.
