Paris - Ile St-Louis - PLEASE HELP!

I have tried and tried to phone and FAX Hotel Deux-Iles in Paris; phone: 011-33-1-43-26-13-35; I get a recorded msg stating that the # has been disconnected or is no longer in use; FAX: 011-33-01-43-29-60-25; I get a recorded msg that this is not a correct FAX #. Previous msgs on the Net have resulted in these same #'s being furnished, and info that the hotel is alive and well and busy. I wrote a ltr to the hotel on 6/28 and have heard -0-. Many thanks for any info. We're going to be in Paris 9/07-09/20, and it's getting closer and closer!

I know this may not be of help directly, but I have one suggestion: try to get in touch with Hotel Le Regent on Rue Dauphine. Not certain of the price range for the Deux_Iles, but have stayed many times at Le Regent, and for the money it was a very good value. Wish I could offer more concrete help, but another option would be to check the intl operator as to whether they have an updated number. Have a good trip

Try taking out the second zero in the Fax no. I'm not sure, but I think that fax nos., like phone nos. don't use that zero when you are faxing from USA. The no. would then be 011-33-1-43-29-60-25.

Just called the hotel using the phone number you gave : 1-43-26-13-35. It's the correct number and they confirmed the fax number too (but drop the "0", as Betty said).

Thank you each SO MUCH. I'd had such rotten luck that I wasn't even going to try again; the phone call I just made went right thru - and I got the French version of "All of our representatives are busy helping other customers . . ." and I held for a couple of minutes, but since it's 10:00 pm there I think I'll wait til in the morning to call again. And Dave, thanks so much for your suggestion, but the friend I'm going with hasn't been to Paris before and is totally intrigued (sp?) with staying on an island in the middle of the Seine - and I felt the same eway my 1st time there, so - many, many thanks anyway.
