Paris Ideas

Hello all,
On our way to and from Barcelona in September, my boyfriend and I are spending a bit of time in Paris. We basically have two 24 hour periods in Paris.
We have both been there before and are looking for ideas of sights that may not have made our list the first time around, but are still doable in our limited time available.

Any ideas are much appreciated!

A boat ride on the Seine during the evening, even if you did it the first time. The view of the illuminated monuments are amazing.

Two full days is not much, but I know you will do well. First, I suggest you decide on a priority list.
How much priority do you want to give to art museums? How about historical museums? Famous sites and sights like Notre Dame, Sainte Chapelle, Napoleons Tomb, Eifel Tower, Sacre Cour, Place des Voges? How about music?

Once you do that then decide which places within category get priority.

Once you do that, I think the list will serve you well.

If you decide to go to the Louvre, have a definite idea of what you want to see. Otherwise, you could use up a lot of time seeing little.

For me the two premier attractions of Paris are the Musee d'Orsay and Sainte Chapelle because of its gorgeous stained glass windows/walls.

I am sure you will receive many suggestions, but weigh all suggestions carefully and calculate the value of each one to you. I could make a long list of suggestions, but what I like is not necessarily what you like.

In summary, my suggestion is first categorize and then prioritize. First prioritize the whole category, and then prioritize within category. Then mark the places on a map, figure out how to get there, and go for it.

Mikes Bikes is an evening bicycle tour of Paris that starts from the Eiffel Tower. It's supposed to be a blast, stopping at many landmarks including Berthillon for ice cream. Might be a different way to see the city!

Maybe instead of Mike's Bikes, try Mike's Segway Tours. Now that would be fun.

Tres cool, QuikTrips, but you won't burn any calories from your 3-hour dinner on a Segway.
