Paris hotels, 7th Arr.
We are looking for a reasonably priced hotel with interesting, local amenities and features - no big, touristy American style rooms or the prices that come with them. Very familiar with the city, but usually stay with friends, so we are caught short this trip. Any good experiences?

For a list of hotels in the 7th try http://www.paris-promotion.fr/vf/hotels/hotar7.htm. There are lots of wonderful, reasonably priced hotels (and restaurants) in the 7th. For more details, do a search on the web as many have on line "brochures" with terrific photos, maps, etc. and e-mail booking. My favorites are La Bourdonnais, Tourville, and Derby Eiffel, but there are lots more.

Hi Mike,
My wife and I spent 4 nights in Paris this summer as part of a longer trip. We stayed at a great hotel in the 7Th arr. called the Hotel de Suede. It was right across from the Primeminister's residence and our roomed overlooked his vast garden. The rate was 552ff for a double with tax and breakfast included. The hotel was spotless and a 10 minute walk from the heart of St. Germaine and the Musee D'orsay. I highly recommend it. Let me know if you require additional info.

http://www.paris-hotel.com

Using this site, we found two very nice hotels where we stayed this summer. It provides 3-4 pictures of each hotel and is arranged by arrondis. Good luck!
