have tried to post this message three times without success, so here's one more try. I was with you until you gave the location. I have stayed a couple of times at the Best Western Left Bank Hotel just off St. Germain on Rue de Ancient Comedie. Their delux rooms are made for three, with a king bed (two twins made up as one or two beds), and a day bed with a full size twin mattress. Nicely decorated and fairly large room and very nice marble bath. I always get one of those rooms because the day bed is a great place to lay out luggage and other things, but most people get them for three people. However, if for some reason you need to be near the Champs Elysees, I can't help you.

Sorry I can't give you any recommendations from personal experiences, but have been looking for Paris hotels with triple rooms and found 3 excellent web sites. The Hotel Boulevard site also has a section that allows people to review the hotels in which they have stayed. If you find a particular hotel that interests you, but no reviews, you can then post a new message asking these helpful "Fodorites" for any personal experiences. The web site addresses are:

http://www.hotelboulevard.com/hotels/
http://www.pariserve.tm.fr/hotel/english.htm
http://www.france-hotel-guide.com/

Try Novotel Gare-De-Lion. It's right next to this big train station and the Metro station, 15-20 minutes from Champs=Elysees.
It's a modern, simple and clean hotel, good brakfast, rooms are w/2 double beds, relatively large and certainly less expensive than anything next to Champs=Elysees!
Check Novotel's 800 number: 800-NOVOTEL.

Try the Hotel Sofitel chain. We have five in a room and it was large.

The Marriott on the Champs Elysees has a small number of rooms for four. These are very expensive, however, and they book up quickly.

- Erin

In 1997, we stayed at the Best Western - Folkstone, near La Madeleine. We had a triple (2 adults & one 9 yr old, If I recall, it was about $150 US/ without breakfast. It had a queen & single bed. The bathroom was small, but large enough for us. The room also had a TV & air conditioning, which was a pleasant surprise & we used it even though we were there in Mid-June. The Best Western name usually means it has a certain standard, including a bathroom in every room. This hotel was still one with a French ambience. & it can be booked by calling Best Western's 800 number(the number escapes me at the moment). They also have a number of other hotels in Paris. Again, these are not chain hotels, such as Holiday Inns, but French hotels that carry the Best Western name. La Madeleine metro station is a short walk from the hotel.

My two sisters and I were in Paris in March and stayed at a lovely hotel in the 6th district: Hotel St. Germain de Pres, rue Bonaparte. Only 16 rooms, with a suite that has a bedroom with two twin beds and a living room with a sofa that opens to another twin. One of the few places that did not just cram a roll-away into the room. It was @2200 ff per night, including breakfast.
