Paris hotel 100 euro (or less) in December

Thought about going to Lisbon in December, but changed to 4 nights in Paris for a quick trip.

Any hotels for 100 euro per night (or less) for me and hubby?

Thin, I know you said you are going in November for 89 euro...pray tell, where are you staying?

StCirq - have you stayed here? Is it good for a first time Paris visitor?

Prices can vary significantly according to when you are going (particularly what days in December). However, we have stayed at well under 100 Euros at these two 3* hotels in the 9th arrondisement:
Mercure Monty Opera - through www.accorhotels.com which is a worthwhile site to check anyway
Hotel Marciano - through www.hrs.de but also check the website http://www.parishotelmarciano.com/

I've been staying there for 20+ years, probably bedded down there more than 100 times.

It's not fancy. Some rooms are really small, but everything you want is there - tv, phone, minibar....The beds are incredibly comfortable. The staff are warm and helpful. Some rooms have nice little balconies overlooking Les Invalides. It's 3 blocks to the metro.

Nice place. Good price.

Hotel Jeanne D'Arc in a fantastic location in Le Marais. Simple, lovely, a lift, 24 front desk, helpful staff, did I say, marvelous location? Highly recommended.

If you're going to be in Paris from a Friday to Monday you may want to check out the Ibis. We got it for 49 euros double-en-suite over the internet but it is available for 69 euros if you just pitch up.
We loved The Ibis Hotel La Defense, 1-4, Blvd de Neuilly.

Try Priceline's "Name Your Own Price"... use betterbidding.com and biddingfortravel.com to learn how best to use the feature.

We got the Hilton Eiffel Tower for $141 US/night in August.

Bookmarking. Thanks to all the posters for their suggestions. As a single I'm always adding to my list of reasonably priced hotels.

While in Paris, typically I stay at an IBIS located in the 12th arrondissement, on Av. Stephen Pichon. If you time it right and book on line via the Accor website, you may be able to book a room @ 49 Euros a night. This particular IBIS is close to Place D' Italie etc, Les Gobelins etc, along with some good restaurants i.e Auberge Etchegorry, Le Touraine etc..
