I highly recommend The Paris Mapguide by Michael Middleditch; about a 5x8&quot; map book with metro, RER and bus lines marked. I have yet to find a street mentioned anywhere that isn't on this map. It is easy to keep opened to the section you are visiting without being obvious so you aren't a target for whoever....I bought mine from Amazaon for $9 plus shipping. I also mark it with clear &quot;stickies&quot; for specific places I want to visit.

Agree with Paulette. The Mapguide also has listings of monuments, museums, markets, parks etc.

Hi Kau,<BR> My suggestions are as follows. First start living on Paris time a week or so before you depart. I set my clock back one hour a day for a week to help with jet lag. I take benadryl to help me sleep.Do it if you can. <BR> Check into your hotel then wander until you see a cafe. I suggest that you walk the Sacre Couer/Montmarte area since you will be close. Then you will likely need a short, refreshing nap. Sunday afternoon you could go to the Eiffel tower and then take a cruise along the seine that departs near the tour eiffel.That way you could see the eiffel tower during the day and at night. <BR>Second day: Arch de Triomphe, Champs Elysees,Lourve, Notre Dame and then catacombs. <BR>3rd day: Versailles<BR>You sound rather young so I also recommend the Bastille/Marais areas because of it's trendiness. Your hotels location is pretty far out and not terribly close to any major metro stations, so transportation logistics might be a problem. Le tour open is a double decker tour bus that takes you to virtually all the major sites for $25/two days. For Versailles you are on your own. You'll have a great time. Tim

Hi Kau:<BR>I would go see the sewer tour and to the Layfayette dept store to see the<BR>beautiful stain glass and also go to see the beautiful Garnier Opera house.<BR>Do not miss Luxumborg Park and take a walk around the island of Ille St. Louis.

The IBIS Port de Clichy is pretty far out from the center of Paris. Since IBIS is a chain with many locations see if you can change to one nearer the center. Check the website for IBIS which has maps of the locations.<BR>If you can't, plan on leaving in the morning and not returning until the evening to maximize your time.
