Traviata, Oh good! No plans yet. I'm throwing it out there to see who might be interested. We will be staying in the 6th but will plan whatever works for interested parties.

We will be in Paris March 11 through the 23rd, leaving on the 24th. Hope I can get to go to the GTG. We hosted one for south floridians several years ago and went to one in Paris at a winebar, would enjoy adding a third notch to to GTG belt. (is that some kind of mixed metaphor?) We're staying in the 5th but willing to metro anywhere.

AGM, DH claims he's planning this trip and that it will involve leisurely strolls and plenty of time to take the pictures he always claims I hurry him through in order to keep to the schedules I so strictly control. Lots of pent up frustration there I guess. He also says he'll select the restaurants, which would mean they would all be repeats of places we've gone over and over again, BUT he's been a little busy with his business so I've generously offered to help with the planning a bit, especially with the restaurant plans. SO I've quickly dashed off an e-mail to the concierge type person at our hotel to reserve at least at Itineraires, Petites Sorcieres and Mon Viell Ami, all new places I've been wanted to try. (It pays to be prepared) Others I'm intending to book while there are:
Ribouldingue--a place specializing in offal and related cuts, Cristophe, Petit Pontoise and La Ferrandaise, and, of course my new favorite Fables de la Fonatine.
With 28 meals, there's plenty of room still left to return to some old favorites and have a Chinese dinner or two. He should be happy.
Besides those liesurely walks he's "planning" we think we'll do a day trip to Brussels where we haven't been in years, and another to Compeigne and Pierrefonds to see a castle I've long wanted to see of which I've had a picture in the Paris file for about 15 years or more from an Old Gourmet magazine.
Hope to see you in Paris. Meantime, post a picture so that even if we don't manage to get to the GTG, I'll be able to recognize you in case we bump into you while we're there.
