It's 50/50. I spent the day in Causualty getting patched up. I have ninja drugs so it all depends if they do their magic overnight - if I am moving under my own steam I'm coming!

My prescription drug of choice is Voltarol.....it works best in suppository form, if you have a willing Hattie Jacques in the vicinity!

That's the pills I've got. They go in the end with teeth.

I like most everything about France apart from the way that they take their medicines.

Given that the frogs are the biggest hypochondriacs on the planet, just remeber when you are looking at them that they all have something stuffed up their bums.

It makes them much easier to deal with.

Cholmondley - I hope you are still here -
The easiest downhill route is:

Metro; Monge
Head along Rue Ortolan, go across Mouffetard and carry on along Pot de Fer. When you come to the next street across that will be Rue Tournefort and around number 20 ish.
Turn downhill and Bob's your Uncle!
Chez Lena et Mimile is on the corner up a flight of about 20 steps. Sure am jealous! Have a good one!!

PS: When you leave after lunch - keep walking downhill to Metro Censier Daubenton:
Cut through Passage des Postes or go further down rue Tournefort which becomes Rue L'Homond to Rue
L'Arbbelette, then down Rue Mouffetard and the metro stop Censier Daubenton.
Or - share a cab with any other legless ( by now) Fodorites!! Har Har!

If mobility is a problem, a bus might be better than Métro. From Gare du Nord:

Ligne 38 (Direction Porte d'Orléans) to Luxembourg

Ligne 27 (Direction Porte d'Ivry) to Berthollet-Vauquelin

Walk down Vauquelin to the resto.

Have a great time everyone!

Don't forget to post a report detailing all the fun and frolics.

CW - So you won't be watching Strictly Come Dancing on Saturday then?

O.K., it's almost midnight in Paris and no details on lunch? Travgina, Warner, are you all recuperating? Did Robspierre show up? C'mon, we're all waiting for the juicy details...

........and I tried to order a good bottle of wine to send to the table today for the Fodorites . Alas, the website for Chez Lena has no way to accomplish that. Too bad.

It was good fun...10 people. Now we can put some faces with these people.

Gina was great to put this together. There were many pictures taken.

With a long table it is hard for everyone to visit with everyone, so we probably got to know the ones across and next to us best.
We now have a face for Robespierre!!
I sa next to Gina and got to know her and her sister. We actually exchanged e-mail addresses.

It was great..a good thing to do and when will we do it again? I will be in Paris mid April to mid May...anyone else???

Thanks again to Gina.........

a bientot....

I really wish I could have been there.

Nikki,

Many pics were taken. I did not take any. They should be forthcoming.

I don't think there were any takers for the tatoos!!

Everyone did behave. We were not asked to leave!
