Paris Carte Orange info please
We will be in Paris for 3 days in June. I've always gotten a "visite" metro pass but after reading some posts I think the Carte Orange looks like a better deal this time. Will be there from Tues thru Friday AM. I have searched the RAPT website and can't find any info on the "Carte Orange". Is it still available or discontinued? We will be transiting thru zones 1-2 for our shopping, sightseeing, etc. We are planning to go to Pere-Lachaise Cemetary and I don't know if this is in an accepted zone for the "CO". We are on a girls trip of 5 (2 friends with 3 18-20 yr old granddaughts) so this time we are looking for the most economical way to get around. We are also going to Giverny and I am pretty sure that we will have to buy seperate tickets to Vernon. Thanks for any help.

As has been said above , Carte Orange is no longer you need a Navigo Decouverte. It all depends on how much you use public transport. For me anything over 3 days makes the ND econnomical as I use buses and metro a lot. I've walked all over Paris and don't need to do it again with my bad feet. You might be better off using a carnet, It all depends on how much you intend to do public transport. You will not be able to use it to Giverney

For your limited time in Paris, neither the Paris Visite nor a Carte Orange Hebdomadaire loaded on a passe Navigo Decouverte will be your best choice. I suggest that you buy ten ticket carnets (€11.40) as needed and share the tickets. On any day that you know you will take more than six rides, buy zone 1-2 Mobilis passes (€5.80) for that day and save the tickets from your carnets for another day. Either a single ticket or a zone 1-2 Mobilis pass will get you to Pere Lachaise Cemetery. Yes, you will have to buy regular train tickets to go from Gare St-Lazare to Vernon.

Thank you all for passing on your knowledge. I think we will opt for Navigo since it will enable us to get from neighborhood to neighborhood easily and use the bus as well. We have many favorites in Paris that we have to get back to. It has been about 3 years since we have been to one of our favorite cities.

If you're going to take a lot of bus rides on all the days you're in Paris, then the passe Navigo Decouverte will work well for you. However, just in case you didn't know it, the new single t+ tickets sold in carnets now include unlimited bus transfers up to 90 minutes after boarding the first bus. (Tickets bought from a bus driver do NOT allow for transfers.)

in your computations.
