Paris: Boulevard Voltaire-What's the neighborhood like?
My daughter is spending a semester in Paris and will be living on Boulevard Voltaire. What is the neighborhood like? How far is it from the Marais? Thanks!

Blvd Voltaire is a rather long street. Any idea where exactly she'll be staying?
A few months ago, we stayed at a hotel in the 11th just a few minutes' walk from Metro Voltaire. The area is fine, nothing to write about. Sort of like middle-class residential area. It was an easy bus ride from Metro Voltaire to Marais.
