You had mentioned a lot of reataurants around the area of 7th, would you know if some restaurants do have kids meal? (sorry i sound stupid.

There are lots of restaurants around that you would feel comfortable in with your child. Some outside tables in many that you might enjoy. What time of the year? There are boulangeries, delis, all sorts of places. Many rotisserie chickens. Go to rue Cler and Davoli: http://www.davoli-paris.fr/about_us_403.htm wonderful items..look at their daily menu for each week. On Sun. they have hot items that will be presented outside..just go by the store and take a look. Not the regular deli, by any means!
You won't have a problem finding places nearby to eat for the 3 of you. The French love small children!!
You will find all the people in the area to be very friendly and helpful in every way.
Enjoy your planning.

njo5047,
Sept. can be a great month to be in Paris. Your location is wonderful for you to walk in the Parc du Champ de Mars ..this is where the ET is....the Seine to walk along..can walk to Invalides and so many places. Buses right on the corner Bourdonnais and St. Dominique to many places.
Stop in at most any of the little shops and pick up one of the "Le Petit Parisien" map guide books. I like the one that says 3 plans par arrondissement. This gives you map, metro and bus for each. These are by L'Indispensable and are easy to identify as they are dark blue with red and white printing.
Often others mention a piazza place on Augereau. I must have walked past it many, many times!
You will enjoy the area an be glad you chose it.

I just happen to use the yahoo travel map often for Paris. I begin watching the 10 days forecasts a couple weeks before going. You may want to start now. It gives you an idea of what it might be..but don't count on it being accurate!! The weather changes fast. Take an umbrella! Enjoy your trip...

You might check with Barnes & Noble and Amazon..last I knew, I think it was Amazon that charged outrageous prices for it...way out of line..I might give them a check for you..I doubt if you need a Nigo for the baby. The website should say at what age...

Yes, I don't understand why the price is so high on Amazon...just not right. You will be able to buy easily in Paris.
I cannot imagine that a 2 yr old needs a Navigo.
I will not be arriving in Paris again until Nov. 2nd..I will be there for 6 weeks, departing on Dec. 14.
I think we are getting quite a few people there about that time and can have some nice times together.

Hi Joan--your report is great fun. We had a great quick trip but packed in a gracious plenty. Relax now that you are home--we are already booked up at home--how does this happen. Will check in next month on a nice gtg with u in Asheville. I am in process of writing our trip report. Hope to finish tomorrow.

A first for this sort of thing, for me. A gathering of a few pics...left out most of the food. Joan

Joan--you have some beautiful pics there--thank u--La Riboto is simply gorgeous, wow--how many nights did you spend there? We have been to Les Baux several times but have typically stayed in St. Remy or other spots. Looks really like a special place--unfortunately out of our price range but I can enjoy thru your pics.

I see this thread has been topped again.
RobynFrance..a dated question, but La Riboto has been a favorite of mine for many years...another world! The owners are wonderful people. I am hopeng that they will come to Paris for a few days when I am there later this year. I added my little jaunt down there rather on the spur of the moment. I took the TGV and picked up car and spent 3 nights at La Riboto. It was great. Do give it a try!
jetsetj..the running trip report and pics seem to work out well. I will do the same when I leave here on 11/2 for a 6 week stay..that is if it is something that people want to see again...
