Paris apartments on a par with "Paris Perfect" offerings?
I know, I know, . . . the dreaded, "Help me find an apartment in Paris" question. Got started way too late for an April trip, & Paris Perfect has nothing left that I want. It's been years since I researched Paris apartments, so I'm hoping someone could help me cut to the chase & provide the names of the firms/individuals who can offer the same level of housing that Paris Perfect offers. Thanks in advance for your time & help.

I've stayed at an lovely apartment from guestapartment.com. See what's available. I do remember that they book up quite early, but give them a try.
parisianflat.com is also suposed to be good. I am sure there are numerous others.
Good luck. I am looking for something in Rome early April, so I feel your pain.

I haven't rented with Paris Perfect (although I know many who speak highly of them) so I can't compare the experience.
I can tell you we are renting a place in Montmartre next month with this agency:

I know we haven't finished the transaction, per se, but thus far, I have been extremely pleased with the level of customer service. Paula has been great.
Good luck!

I've rented from both Paris Perfect and Guest Apartment, the former has more contemporary furnishings, somewhat larger apts, but I really don't like that location in terms of access to public transportation. I've been much happier with the Guest Apartment locations-primarily on Ile St Louis. I've rented both Rose (tends to book early) and Sunflower--my new favorite--in the Latin Quarter, short walk to Mouffetard open market and to Ile St Louis. Good luck@

We've rented from Paris Perfect and Paris Vacation apartments and been happy with both. I don't know what might be available this late, however.
In October we rented this apartment
http://www.vrbo.com/114205 and loved it. It is not an agency but private owners who were very easy to deal with.
We were 4 couples and the owners have 2 apartments next to each other, each 2 bedroom, 2 bath.

Hi Clarin,
Here's a few more you can try:
http://www.franceforrent.com/listing_luxury.shtml
http://justfranceinparis.com/apartments/for_rent.html
http://www.alacarte-paris-apartments.com/
http://www.chezvous.com/
Personally, I've rented from www.guestapartment.com and they are excellent.
Good luck!

Clarin, if you have any questions about my Marais suggestion, I'm happy to provide more information. Sometimes renting from a private owner seems more risky than renting from a known agency.
We had never stayed in the Marais before, loved being a couple of blocks from Place des Vosges and really loved having a Gerard Mulot just a few blocks away!

Clarin -- If you are willing to consider the 18th, they have a beautiful 2 BR and a few 1 BRs with stunning views of Sacre Coeur. We could make it to all tourist sights within 10 minutes on the Metro and just loved "our neighborhood."

Judy - Thank you for making yourself available to answer questions about your terrific spot in the Marais (114205). Alas, their calendar states that it is booked for my time period in April, so that's the end of that.
Also too late for parisvacationapartments "Marais / Place des Vosges, 2 bedrooms."
At this point I should probably just contact owners/agencies & inquire about being put on a Cancellation List.

Clarin, We have rented from ParisPerfect many times and love dealing with the owners, their apartments, the location, etc. Their apartments are the best that we have ever rented and we have been doing this for fifteen years in Paris. We have rented from many other agencies and individuals and have been very happy also, but if we were going with that same level of accommodations we would recommend Erica Berman, who has www.haveninparis.com for the same impeccable accommodations. We have friends in the business who also would recommend this route. Hope this helps.
