How did you get on with the website you were asking about? Have you been on your trip yet and if so, did you end up booking with them? I'd like to book with them as well, but of course now I'm running out of time as I leave on 1 August and am looking to book accommodation for 3-8 September. I'm so enjoying reading through everyones posts, so very helpful. Thank you all.

I truly appreciate all the great advice here. I am looking for an apartment for 1 or 2 weeks in November.
I am a solo traveler not needing a lot of space but wanting sunlight, cleanliness and a real neighborhood with shops and bistros.
I usually stay in the 6th, but am open to suggestion, although not keen on the 7th even though there seem to be some lovely apartments there. I see a lot about the Marais, but can't get my arms around that neighborhood and think perhaps it is not for me.
I am thinking Ile St. Louis may be a neat idea. I wonder is it too quiet as I will be alone? Any solo travel have experience there?
I am needing a bit of a restorative vacation that is cheerful despite the November gray so I hope for a pleasant apartment as I will spend some time in it. I plan to have a leisurely look at art all over Paris, eat well at lunch and dine in for dinner as I don't like to eat dinner out alone and usually have worn myself out by then anyway.
Would love any recent apartment experiences.
Thanks for this very helpful thread.

Haven't stayed with them *yet* but I've booked their Cleary apartment for 10 days in April. Someone on the Forum recommended them to me about a month ago, and I researched them thoroughly, then called their office with a number of very specific questions about the apartment. I couldn't have been more impressed with the people I spoke with. Absolute perfection & smooth as silk from beginning to end. I look forward to reporting on the total HiP experience in May

This is an advice not to fall into a scam. We rented a studio for a month, in theory able to fit in 4 people. It is advertised in many forums, as
Champs Elysées-Arc de Triomphe - 3/4 people - 30m2 - Apartment Rental Listing Details - 3/4 people - 30m2 - Apartment Rental Listing Details
http://www.perfectplaces.com/vacation-rentals/6027.htm
http://www.parisrentaparts.com/PBCPPlayer.asp?ID=152178
It is a lousy place. the entry seems to have been bombarded in the 2nd world war, the place is filthy, not cleaned. The apartment itself was dirty on our arrival, the toilet did not stop when actioned once, water was running the whole night. When we called the rental company, they never showed up. The place is all run down, most appliances do not work, we almost had a fire in the kitchen due to the owen being in bad condition.
Please avoid this company (Paris Rent Apparts) as they are irresponsable and above all non responsive.
Regards

Bookmarked!! Planning a trip for 4 nights in Paris in May. Would really love to stay in a apartment, but not finding many - specially with only 4 nights
I guess too late right now. But this is a excellent idea and it's really helpful.

Clarin,
Please report on Haven in Paris when you return. I am interested in one of HIP's flats because I can afford Paris Perfect. The only PPP apts in my price range have a sofa bed or a mezzanine and I can't ask Mr. Wonderful to sleep on a sofa bed no matter how comfy PP claims it is.

This thread keeps going and going...
I wanted to add my 2 centimes...
After many, many yrs of visiting Paris, we are first staying in an apt!
DH just retired and we are talking about living in Europe a month a yr perhaps. We've been in apt for one summer in Cannes and loved it, so why not for Paris.
So the entire trip is an experiment in testing it out. No need to run to see stuff, just pure leisure.
We've rented the Snowdrop from Guest Apartment Services for a week. I'll tell you what I like about them already:
*Philippe is terrific; gets back to me in an instant
*Payment was a snap
*I like the fact there is an actual office in Paris
*They only manage 40 apts as opposed to 200
Here is the apt:
What do you think??

The other company I would love to rent sometime is Paris Perfect ( who wouldn't!)
Given I've chosen the Snowdrop for this time around, which PP apt might anyone suggest I hone in for next time.
I liked the Seyssel, Layton, and a few more.
Anyway.. tell me what you think of Snowdrop!!
( very terrific thread!)

Can anyone comment on the sofa beds used by Paris Perfect? As it turns out we are considering one of their studios. There are no photos of the sofa bed made up as a bed on their website. We're also wondering just how comfortable these beds are.

To update, we have booked the Kir apartment for our fall trip. DH is on board with the sofa bed after Paris Perfect staff provided more information on the fold out bed. PP staff have been very helpful and patient. I would have preferred Chablis but alas the price (and it's booked) or Lagrange with Havin in Paris (also booked). I'll be adding comments on our stay to this thread after our trip.
