Try Vacation in Paris. Their apartments are well described, in many locations, you pay in US dollars by credit card, no breakage deposit, only a key deposit which is promptly returned when they receive the key back. You'll have the key and an information packet delivered to your home about 2 weeks before you depart. They are very easy to deal with.

Do you need two bedrooms and a sleeper couch or do you need three bedrooms? Budget?

two bedrooms and a sleeper couch would be sufficient, 3 bedrooms would work, too, but not necessary.

Our family of five rented the Place des Victoires (ID 22) apartment from Vacation In Paris in 2003. It has two bedrooms, and a sleeper sofa in the living room. I'm not sure if it has A/C. We really liked it because it was so close to the Louvre and other museums that we could easily walk back to the apartment for lunch. It's also close to the Palais Royale, which has a peaceful park and several pleasant restaurants. It's at 25 Rue Herald, a fairly quiet, one-block-long street.

We rented the three-bedroom Palais Royal apartment from www.parisvacationapartments.com
in 2007. It has a/c. They also have two-bedroom apartments in the same building, though if you're looking for this summer, they are usually booked far in advance.

We also rented from www.parisianflat.com in the winter so I'm not sure if their apartments have a/c, though they have many well-located two-bedrooms.

We were 5 adults who lived comfortably for a week in this lovely flat. Good location, beautiful balconies, 2 full bathrooms, and a study that acted as a third bedroom. If AC is important to you, check with the owners who are extremely nice, helpful people. There was no central AC (which is difficult to find in this price range in Paris). I do remember separate units in each of the bedrooms and study. This is a great apartment for 5. Good luck, EJ

We stayed in VBRO 112368 over Christmas of 2008-2009. We had 6 persons. It is in the 5th - in what I felt was a great location.

A five bedroom house (suburbs of paris) is listed here

Suburb house, 5 bedrooms, only 9km from Saint Germain en Laye and 8km from Cergy. Includes study, 2 bathrooms and large cellar. high 1000m² grounds. 2300 euro per month,

listed in the 'Rental Listings 01 March 2010' post

http://expatfrance.wordpress.com/paris-rentals (this is not a commercial website)

I'd recommend looking on google maps to see where this is and if it suits you.
