We get asked the same question as we make our 11th trip to Paris.
I tell them it's because people are nicer and we like their way of living.
We usually need a fix every 2 years and what about all the snowbirds that go to boring Florida every single year??
Is it the Happy Hours or earlybird specials that attract them?

I've used the beach house/vacation home analogy (not that I have one in Paris, mind you) and it typically ends the conversation. Many people have one or two places they go back to every year, so I don't find it all that unusual.
Like many others have mentioned, we go to other places (new to us) as well, but Paris has to be worked in at least every two years - although I'm trying to shorten that to annually in the not-too-distant future.
Have a great trip, ruedebuci!

I leave in five days!
I need to start putting together my restaurant list.
Thank you for your responses everyone!
Oh one small favor, please cross your fingers for me that I don't get held up at immigration for the third time on my return home. Last two times CDG-ORD I got stopped by border patrol, ugh.
