I was in Paris recently and stayed in two hotels at very different neighbourhood. The first is Hotel Lyon Mulhouse at Bastille (at a very lively area with plenty of eateries and night life) and the second the Hotel Porte Doree (a bit far from the city centre at a very quiet and pleasant area with basic amenities around). Both cost just under 100E per night (during my stay) for a double room and are clean and comfortable. You can read more about them in my Blog below but I am sure you can find many more hotels for under 100E if you search around. As long as they are near to a Metro station, all the Paris sights are just a train ride away.
