PAPAL BLESSING

AM GOING TO BE IN ROME FOR SUNDAY IN FEB AND WAS WONDERING IF THE POPE STILL GIVES HIS BLESSING AND POSSIBLY SAYS MASS THAT IS ACCESSABLE TO THE PUBLIC. I WILL NOT BE THERE ON WED FOR A PAPAL AUDIENCE AND THOUGHT THIS WOULD BE EXCITING TO EXPERIENCE

I just returned from Rome, and did attend a Wednesday papal audience. However, on Sundays, the Pope does give a blessing over those assembled in Saint Peter's square. I think this may be at noon. He does not generally celebrate Mass. You're going to want to check with your host or hotel & they should be able to furnish a time for you. It's my understanding he does the blessing from a window in one of the papal apartments that overlooks Saint Peter's Square.

Buon Viaggio,
BC

He only gives blessings to people who don't type in all caps.

*LOL*, Kevin! I think he makes an exception, however, for people who type in tall, somewhat-pointed, caps. :~)
