Pantheon Hotel or Le Regent Hotel
These are my two choices for hotels for my husband and I and our two daughters ages 15 and 17. Could anyone give me advise on which one has better rooms and which might be a better location. The rooms at the Pantheon look nicer on the internet but I don't always trust those photos.

For me there would be no comparison. I have not been inside the Pantheon Hotel, but I'd much prefer the location of Le Regent on Dauphine. There have been numberous posts recently on Le Regent. If you opt for a deluxe room on the front of the building you will be exceptionally pleased with the size and decor of the room and bath. All rooms are airconditioned and windows are double glazed so you needn't worry about the noise from the street as it is a busy area -- one of the things I like most about its location. With the four of you, you might opt for the deluxe room for the two of you, and let the girls share a standard room for a bit of compromise on the price.<BR>I don't do breakfast there -- a bit pricey and stuffy, but there are several wonderful pastry shops and cafes within a block of the hotel.

Thanks for the advise, we are only there for three days so the location is very important and the girls really want to be where there is alot going on, which there seems to be around the area where the Le Regent is located. Is it better to call these hotels to make your reservation or just email them. I am never sure if the email is going to a booking service or directly to the hotel and that makes me a little nervous.

I book directly with Le Regent by email. If you don't have it, their email address is [email protected]

Susan, I don't know Le Regent, but I stayed at the Pantheon in '99. The rooms are small but very nicely deorated, and the location is good. It's near the heart of the Sorbonne and about equidistant between the place de Contrescarpe and rue Mouffetarde in one direction and the Blvd. St. Michel and the Luxembourg Gardens in the others. The Sorbonne area is fun because it's a mix of students and older residents. Joe
